Architectural Specialties, a family-owned leader in commercial door and window solutions, is seeking apprentice to experienced lead installers to join our team in Gillette. If you’re mechanically inclined and take pride in quality workmanship, we want to hear from you. Candidates with construction, welding, farm/ranch, or military maintenance experience will thrive in this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install and repair commercial doors and windows in diverse settings, including hospitals, schools, military facilities, farms, aviation hangars, and retail buildings.
- Service and install door security hardware, such as locks, exit devices, and closers.
- Perform installations in new construction projects.
- Maintain accurate paperwork for internal and customer requirements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Pass a basic background check and/or pre-employment drug test.
- Reliability and a commitment to excellence in every job.
- Willingness to travel, with occasional overnight stays (typically 1–2 nights).

Architectural Specialties LLC is currently seeking an energetic, self-starter to join our team as an Electronic Security Systems Installer and Service Technician.

The Electronic Security Installation & Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of security and door systems for commercial and industrial sites.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and service electronic security systems including:
- Video Surveillance
- Access Control
- Intrusion Detection
- Intercoms
- Related low-voltage systems
- Install and terminate low-voltage cabling (Cat5/6 and control wiring) in ceilings, attics, and confined spaces
- Troubleshoot and correct system issues
- Perform system testing, commissioning, and customer training
- Work comfortably indoors and outdoors, and at heights
- Overnight travel — may require multi-day stays for installation, upgrades, or service work
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in installation and maintenance of electronic security systems
- Strong understanding of low-voltage systems, relay logic, and networking fundamentals
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Must be able to identify and work with color-coded wiring
- Must be able to utilize Microsoft Office 365 and basic computer systems
- Good communication skills
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to think outside the box
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
